How to Make

Step 1

Firstly, paint a polystyrene ball black or purple, you may need a few coats to cover the ball.

Step 2

When the paint has dried, cut 2 pipe cleaners into quarters to create 8 legs for the spider. Create a bend in each of the short pipe cleaners to form the legs. Then push the pipe cleaners into the painted polystyrene ball. To finish the spider, stick wiggle eyes onto the front.

Step 3

Then, cut out the centre of a paper plate.

Create holes around the inner edge of the paper plate using a hole punch.

Step 5

Cut a length of wool and stick one end to the back of the paper plate using sticky tape and begin threading the white wool through the holes. When you have finished threading the wool, secure the end in place.

Step 6

Lastly, cut a length of wool, tie a knot to make a loop and stick it to the back of the paper plate. You can stick or hook the spider onto the spiders web.
