How to Make
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
- Print out the template provided and cut out the shapes, then draw around the pieces on the appropriate colour paper.
- To make the bookmark base, cut out your square and fold it in half diagonally, to make a triangle shape. Then, with the flat edge along the bottom, fold the top corner in so that the tip touches the flat edge. Press the fold down well.
- Next, fold the left and right edges of the triangle to the middle, so they touch tips at the centre of the flat edge. Then unfold these and turn the tips upwards to tuck over and into the small pocket.
- Print out the template and cut out the pieces. Draw around the pieces with a pencil on the colour paper of your choice and cut them out.
- Glue together the squirrels tail pieces and then glue the tail to the back of the bookmark (the flat square side).
- Glue the thinner leg pieces to the inside of the bookmark at each edge, then glue the inner ear triangles and the teeth (behind) to the squirrel’s face. Draw a Y-shape to make the squirrel’s nose and stick on the wiggle eyes.
- Glue the front paws to the back of the squirrel’s face, on either side of the teeth, then glue the face to the front of the bookmark to finish.
