Hello! It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger and I’m happy to share a fun winter craft with you today! I must confess, winter is my least favorite season, but these DIY popsicle stick snowflakes are just the thing to cheer a non-winter lover like me!

This magic salt and watercolor snowflake art project for kids is so much fun! The snowflakes magically appear when you add the paint and the salt makes the painting look “frosty”. This is such a cool process art idea for kids that’s fantastic in the classroom at school or on a snowy day at home this winter!

I’m not an artist – so trust me – if I can make this painting, it has to be pretty easy! I HAD to try this art project just because it’s fun. And cool. And sciency. (My browser is telling me that’s not a real word… haha) This salt and watercolor snowflake art project actually teaches you something, and I LOVE that!

These coffee filter snowflakes are so easy to make and they are SO PRETTY! This is such a fun winter craft idea! A great activity for a snow day at home but also simple enough for teachers to make with the whole class at school. They make beautiful sun catchers and are a great Christmas decoration that can stay up all winter long!

It’s a craft and science experiment mixed together in one – and it ends up looking beautiful!

DIY Twinkling Paper Roll Christmas Village: A Festive Craft Idea

This little paper roll Christmas village mysteriously disappeared, pretty much right after we made it the other day. I swear, I looked away for 2 seconds and my 3 year old had run off with everything – including all of the battery operated tea lights. He called me into my dark master bedroom closet a few minutes later, and he had set up a glowing little Christmas village on my closet floor. The little guy was so proud! He told me to sit on the floor, shut the door behind us and asked me which house I want to live in. Melt my heart, it was so cute!
