RECIPE 1: GLUE MIXTURE
White Glue Mixture
Mix 2 parts white school glue (PVA glue) with 1 part water.
This means that a 4 fl.oz bottle (118 ml) of white school glue should be mixed with ¼ cup (2 fl.oz. or 60 ml) water.
Clear Glue Mixture
Mix 3 parts clear school glue with 1 part water.
If you have a 4 fl.oz bottle (147 ml) of clear school glue, you will need to mix in 3 tbsp. (45 ml) of water.
RECIPE 2: FLOUR MIXTURE (NO COOK METHOD)
- 1Mix 1 part all-purpose flour with 1 part water. This means that you need to mix 1 cup of water for every cup of flour.
- 2Mix well. Break up the lumps.
- 3Add a bit of salt to prevent molds from growing.
- 4Continue stirring and breaking up the lumps until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
RECIPE 3: FLOUR MIXTURE (COOK METHOD)
- 1Mix 1 cup all-purpose flour with 5 cups water. Stir until free of lumps.
- 2Put the mixture into a cooking pot and boil for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir from time to time.
- 3Remove the pot from the stove.
- 4Add 3 tbsp. white sugar to the mixture. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- 5Let the paste cool before use.
RECIPE 4: LIQUID STARCH
Use the liquid starch as is. You can add a bit of water if you find it too thick.
